Student Ambassadors video

Eighth grade "ambassadors" are role models for their fellow students at the fantastic Foundation Academy Charter School in inner city Trenton, NJ. The school produces students whose academic performance equals, and sometimes surpasses, those of students from surrounding suburban school systems.

This is a project of the Jonathan D. Krist Foundation (jonathankrist.org), which partners with schools in Camden and Trenton, NJ to provide music education enrichment and college scholarships. Music: World in Your Hands, licensed from Premium Beat (premiumbeat.com). Tech: Sony NEX VG20, Sony NEX 5n. Still Photos of Oberlin College courtesy of Jennifer Manna.

Temporary Home-Lyrics and Video
Verse 1
Little boy, 6 years old
A little too used to
bein
' alone.
Another new mom and dad,
another school,
Another house that'll never be home.
When people ask him how he likes this place...
He looks up and says, with a smile upon his face,

Chorus
This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong.
Windows and rooms
that I'm passin' through.
This is just a stop,
on the way to where I'm going.
I'm not afraid because I know
 this is my  Temporary Home."
Verse 2
Young mom on her own.
She needs a little help, got nowhere to go.
She's
lookin' for a job, lookin
' for a way out,
Because a half-way house will never be a home.
At night she whispers to her baby girl,
"Someday we'll find our place here in this world."

Chorus
Verse 3
Old man, hospital bed,
The room is filled with people he loves.
And he whispers don't cry for me,
I'll see you all someday.
He looks up and says, "I can see God's face."
Chorus
Price Tag -Lyrics and Video
Verse 1
Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop for a minute and
Smile

Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so
extra mysterious
?
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good
time

[Pre-chorus:]
Everybody look to their left
Everybody look to their right
Can you feel
that
We're paying with love
tonight
[Chorus:]
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just
wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag
Ain't about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching

Ain't about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag.
Verse 2:
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all unite!
And it wasn't low blows and video
joes,

Am I the only one getting tired?

Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we'll be feeling alright

[Pre-chorus]
[Chorus]
